January 16th, 2012 by adminHad an awesome time at Magfest this year! Games were played….massive amounts of food and alcohol was consumed….people from my Etsy team were met irl. No seriously! i met some of the people from my Etsy team without the use of a computer! It was awesome!
But the best part of the weekend was the Earthbound Papas show Saturday night and getting my badge and tshirt signed by Nobuo Uematsu and his entire band.
It was an honor to meet you all! For those of you that missed the show, here are the links for the entire concert:
And now, we return to reality. Thank you Magfest for once again starting out my year with awesome!
White Mage Capelet
October 4th, 2011 by admin
Just listed a new item in the store – White Mage Capelet. I’ve been trying my hardest to figure out how to make a hoodie and finally created my own pattern. I also added the triangle trim to the front of the cape and put a tie underneath. It think it turned out pretty well.
T-Shirts!!
September 27th, 2011 by adminIt’s been some time since I’ve last posted, but I will let you guys know I have been busy creating new designs and expanding into t-shirts. I currently have these available to buy at RedBubble. I hope you enjoy them. ^_^
A Brand New Look
August 4th, 2011 by adminThe new Shadows In The Nyte site is complete! I recently learned more about WordPress and just went a little crazy. I found a better layout and the design seems suitable. ^_^ I also placed a Twitter feed and a “Like” button for the Facebook page on the right. I’ll make sure to post as often as I can with anything new that comes up.
Reddit love
April 16th, 2011 by shadowsinthenyteI meant to post this a while back but I got busy with life and forgot. This was a posting made by a fellow Etsy member about the Purple Tentacle plush I made. It gave me a lot of hits as well as some love and hate from all around. A lot of the comments are amusing though and it brought a smile to my face to read them.
Much love goes out to Detlev409 on Etsy. Email me so I can hook you up with a gift.
You can read the post here. Enjoy!
To Rift or Not to Rift
April 5th, 2011 by shadowsinthenyte…this actually is a hard question for me. (And yes I love Hamlet-cheesy but it works) For those of you that don’t know, I am a former WoW (World of Warcraft for those of you not in the know) player. I used to play with my local friends in a guild and on my own when I had to time. I loved playing WoW. I loved the camaraderie I had with the people I played with. I loved the quest trees and the instance dungeons. I loved the dual wielding warrior I created and how hot I made her. I loved how I could finally go out on an adventure in a fantasy land, die, and be able to come back and try again without losing experience points. I loved seeing the sun rise over the hills and mountains while going out and grinding herbs for my primary profession. Sadly, I stopped playing due to life getting in the way and guild drama leading to its eventual break up. I do miss it though, even though it started to take over my life – which is why I’m trying to decide if I want to give Rift a try.
It’s supposed to be a WoW clone with some of the annoyances from WoW either removed or fixed entirely. I’ve been watching some game play videos on YouTube to get a feel for the game. I’ve especially liked the first impressions review given by Yogscast. There are a lot of videos since they are pretty through, but they are also very honest-something I really like to see from a reviewer. I really enjoyed the videos, but I’m not sure if I want to take the plunge yet.
Here are some of the first few videos. They’re a little NSFW but they are well done.

April 5th, 2011 by shadowsinthenyteSo I saw SuckerPunch today…
March 27th, 2011 by shadowsinthenyte…and the only good part about that movie was the soundtrack. I’m serious. I don’t even think it’s worthy enough for HBO and would be surprised if it went straight to a TNT-like channel and skipped HBO entirely. I wouldn’t waste your money or your time in seeing this movie-it’s just not worth it. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to watch Easy A-the Netflix I got in the mail yesterday-and let Spill.com fill in the gaps for my review.
